German Historians´ Symposium in Berlin

The German Association of History Teachers in cooperation with the German Association of Historians present the 48th Historians´ Symposium in Berlin from September, 28th - October, 1st 2010.
Boasting approximately 3000 participants every two years, this meeting represents the biggest European event of its kind. This year´s topic "Beyond Borders" promises interesting insights and debates. Chancellor Angela Merkel is going to officially open the congress within the frame of a festive opening evening. The German Association of History Teachers offers several workshops on the topics of "Perspectives of Global History in History Teaching", "Conflicting Cultures? On the meeting of Orient and Occident" and "Educational Standards in History Teaching".
