Ilona Baldus studierte in Heidelberg Chemie. Zurzeit promoviert sie am Heidelberg Institute for Theoretical Studies (früher EML-research gGmbH), dem Forschungs-institut der Klaus Tschira Stiftung und erforscht den Einfluss mechanischer Kräfte auf Redoxpotentiale in Proteinen.
